The company history

1967:  Founded by Bernhard Ohmen. The first products were stairs, banisters and steel frames.

1972:  Building of a production site and an office building in Emsdetten-Sinningen  

1978:  Introduction of powder coating

1980:  Production of containers begins

1991:  Takeover by Polynorm NV Bunschoten/Netherlands

1995:  Production of quick-build warehouses begins

1999:  BOS OHMEN GmbH became BOS GmbH

2002:  Takeover by the DOMOFERM Group, Gänserndorf/Austria

2009:  Production of connected containers up to 5 x 6 m

2010:  Investment in a new tandem plant for the storage technology sector

2012:  Takeover of the DOMOFERM Group by Austro Holding, Vienna/Austria

            Expansion of the production hall for the storage technology sector

2017:  50 year company anniversary

            Investment in a warehouse extension

2018:  Integration of the DOMOFERM Group into the globally active JELD-WEN Group

2020:  40 years of Storage Technology
